Elections for eight House representatives to the Student Council open formally today, with only two incumbents seeking re-election, Council President Richard E. Johnson '53 announced last night.

The deadline for the petitions, which must have 25 names, has been set at 5 p.m., November 29. Balloting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 3, at the Houses, and for Tuesday and Wednesday at Dudley.

Graduation has emptied six of the eight House representative posts. Adams and Winthrop will be contested by the incumbents.
