Many familiar faces appeared on the other side of the line yesterday as Coach Lloyd Jordan sent the varsity football team through a lengthy non-contact drill, with the emphasis on defense.
Dick Clasby, John Ederer and Buddy Lemay were among the offensive specialists who played for a bit on defense. During this drill, the jayvees tried a number of long pass plays.
When the varsity went over to the offense, Clasby and second team tailback Hardy Cox book turns throwing long passes. Ends Bob Cochran and Paul Crowley turned in several good catches.
Jordan declined to name a starting line-up for the Brown game until after a meeting with his assistants scheduled for this morning. The varsity will work out in the Stadium this afternoon and go to Providence tomorrow morning.
Brown's team is no ball of fire, having won only one game so far this year.
