As far as Bob Margarits and his freshman football team are concerned, after Saturday's 48 to 7 loss to the undefeated Princeton freshmen, they can wait another 20 years before playing the Tigers again.
Royce Fillipin, the highly touted and equally high scoring Orange and Black tallback, lived up to his mountainous pile of press clippings, scoring four touchdowns and passing for another, as the Tigers successfully renewed an old football rivalry.
Fillipin, a 185 pound tailback, who has now scored 13 touchdowns and passed for four others in his last three games, was rarely tackled at the line of scrimmage. He often broke away for a prolonged gain after seemingly being stopped.
Lubtekin Scores
The Crimson, which trailed by only 14 points at the half, scored in the third period on a 20 yard pass from Al Lubtekin to Warren Cooper. Dick Oehmler converted for the point. Oehmler again ran well as the Yardlings absorbed their third defeat in five games. They close the season in two weeks against Yale.
Margarita once again substituted heavily as soon as the Crimson fell behind. Tiger coach, Matt Davidson, didn't.
