An underdog for the first time this year, the freshman soccer team takes on Dartmouth at Hanover today.
Both Dartmouth and the Yardlings boast victories over Exeter, their only common opponent.
Yardling coach Poley Guyda reports that his team is up for the game. He stressed corner kicks and penalty kicks during the week in addition to the usual drills on trapping and passing.
Guyda plans to start Lindsey Fischer in the goal, Captain Bill Laimbeer and Hugh Sargent at the fullback positions, and John Hadick, Charlie Fitzgerald, and Denny Little as halfbacks. In the line he will use wings Bill Lingelbach and Lim Whittal, insides Bob Lloyd and Stacy Holmes, and center Harry Gilles.
