Frosh at Worcester; Seek First Grid Win

Bob Margarita should get his first win as Crimson freshman football coach this afternoon at Worcester when his potentially strong team takes on underdog Worcester Academy, at 2 p.m.

Margarita plans to start the same line that opened against Andover last Saturday, but he's sending in an entirely new backfield.

Last week's second string backfield will start: wingback Dexter Lewis, tailback Russ Burgess, fullback Art Painter, and blocking back Jost Michelsen.

The four looked very impressive against Andover, handling the ball well in the backfield, and running hard. Lewis was particularly impressive against the Blue, scoring the Crimson's lone touchdown. He set it up with a 23 yard run.

But the Original starting backfield of wingback Dick Donaghy, tailback Dick Oehmler, fullback Bill Volmer, and blocking back Joe Crehore will see plenty of action. The unit's ball handling wasn't so sharp last week, but its running was good.
