Daley Chosen Chief Marshal Of '27 Alumni

Will Lead '52 Commencement; Played Football, Was Elected First Marshal as Undergrad

Leo F. Daley '27, president of the Harvard Club of Andover, will serve as Chief Marshal of the alumni at the 1952 Commencement, William M. Rand '09, president of the Alumni Association, announced last week.

His selection follows the tradition of choosing the Chief Marshal from the 25th anniversary class.

Daley, who is a member of the Boston brokerage firm of F. S. Mosely & Co., prepared for Harvard at Phillips Andover Academy and is now Alumni Chairman of the Scholarship Committee of the Academy.

As an undergraduate here he played on the football team, was a member of the student council, and was elected First Marshal of his class.

Daley serves his native town of Andover as a member of the Finance Committee of the town, as a Trustee of the Andover Public Library, and as Director of the Andover Red Cross. He is also a member of the Corporation of the Greater Boston Charitable Trust Inc., and a Trustee of the Orchard Home School.

His other positions include Director of the Eagle Tribune Publishing Company of Lawrence, Trustee and member of the Investment Committee of the Suffolk Savings Bank for Seamen and Others, and President and Director of the Newport Gas Light Company.
