The varsity squash team continued to show championship form over the weekend when it won 18 individual matches and lost none while beating Wesleyan and Trinity, 9 to 0. A third match against the Hartford Golf Club was cancelled.

In Friday's contest against Wesleyan, Charlie Ufford won his number one match, 15-9, 16-17, 15-7, and 15-11 against Jim Hentz. Captain Jim Bacon at two, Dave Watts at three, Altie Flagg at four, Wis Wood at five, Charlie Elliott at six, Mike Ward at seven, Ted Rose at eight, and Steve Sonnabend at nine, all won their matches with no trouble.

The same team defeated Trinity on Saturday losing only one game. Ufford continued his superiority by deflating Dick Stewart, 15-11, 15-4, 15-12 in the first match. Mike Ward lost the only game, 13-15, but went on to take his match in four games. This win was the fourth straight intercollegiate victory for Jack Barnaby's team. In all four matches, Barnaby's men lost only one match.

These are the last matches before the exam period layoff. The next contest is against Princeton on February 5.

The freshmen compiled an equally successful weekend record when they swamped Wesleyan, 9 to 0. Bill Wister. Guy Paschal, Bob Brown, Bats Wheeler, Mike Levinson, Jim McIntoch, Jay Hathaway, Bob Albert, and Dave Berndt all won their matches without trouble.
