Harvard Still On Track To Reach Fossil Fuel-Neutral Status by 2026, Sustainability Report Finds
Holy Cross, one of the three schools the Crimson faces this fall in which freshmen are eligible for varsity football, has announced that it will not use first-year men against either Harvard or Brown. Dr. Eddie Anderson's decision was made out of respect to the Ivy Group of colleges who decided last fall not to comply with N.C.A.A.'s freshman eligibility ruling.
But the Crusaders should not need their Class of '55, since only one member of last year's undefeated freshmen has been able to break onto the loaded first team. Holy Cross may hold down the score against Harvard in order to save its best plays for top opponent Tulane two weeks from now.
The team which will probably use freshmen to most advantage against the Crimson this year is Army, whose squad was fairly thoroughly cleaned out during the recent expulsions. Its chance to use freshmen will probably make the Point a more potent team than many expect.
