Contributions to the Student Council collected at freshman and upperclass registrations topped last year's figure with a total of over $5,000, Richard M. Sandler '52, president of the Council, announced yesterday at the organization's first meeting.

Sandler said the increased funds would permit expansion of the Council's Financial Aid Program, which helps needy College students. Other activities out-lined for this year are an increased international program and a number of new educational survey details which have not yet been announced.
