Radcliffe's President Jordan is presently in England making a thorough investigation of Anne Radcliffe's private life and 17th century religious intolerance there, Dean Sherman announced yesterday. He will return around the end of October.
The College gave Jordan a four-month leave of absence to compile historical data on the woman for whom the Annex was named. Seventeenth century religious toleration. Jordan's other study, is one of his special interests.
Jordan left for England on June 26 and has been spending much of his time there in London's British Museum.
