The Crimson varsity moved over to its regular practice field next to the Stadium yesterday afternoon, to make room for the first freshman and jayvee turnout. With probably the toughest opponent on the schedule coming to Cambridge next weekend. Lloyd Jordan sent his squad through a two-and-a-half hour workout, long and fairly rugged for a Monday.
For the first time the team stressed the T formation in practice. The first two backfields had Tom Ossman, Phil Campbell, and John Culver as fullbacks; Carroll Lowenstein and Dick Clasby as left halfbacks; Gll O'Nell and Bill Weber as quarterbacks; and Red Wylie, John Tulenko, and Bill Healey alternating as right halfbacks. Jordan also pushed pass defense, with Crusader Charlie Maloy in mind.
In the other fields, Bob Margarita had between 90 and 100 freshmen limbering up, while Norm Shepard was working with about 25 jayvees.
