The Class of '55 contributed about $2,000 to the Student Council for the coming year at registration last Thursday. This is $200 more than last year's freshmen gave. During yesterday's registration, contributions from upperclass men were considered "fairly high," by Student Council officers.
In past years, the council raised its funds by taking 20 percent from student contributions to the Combined Charities Drive, unles contributors specified otherwise. Last year, for the first time, students could contribute to either the Combined Charities or the Student Council.
The council asks for a maximum of $2 from each student.
