Munro Gets Few Soccer Men Back

A scant 12 of the 25 varsity soccer players invited to return for pre-season practice have appeared this week, the smallest turnout since Bruce Munro has been coaching at Harvard. Freshman coach Andrew "Polly" Guyda hopes for a better showing when the '55 candidates adjourn at 3:30 p.m. Monday on the Business School Field.

Summer injuries are responsible for a large part of Munro's manpower misfortunes and the situation should be largely remedied by the time of the varsity opener on October 3.

The Ivy Soccer League was dissolved last season and this year the varsity will face only New England opponents omitting Princeton Navy Army Penn and Haverford from the schedule. A preseason prediction by Munro names the away games with Springfield. Amherst, and Yale as the three toughest contests
