Henry "Bob" Margarita will officially open the 1955 Freshman Football season at 4 p.m. today with a meeting at Dillon Field House. Margarita, beginning his first season at the helm of the Yardlings, has called the conclave "organizational."

"The coaches, including head coach Lloyd Jordan, will speak to the boys," said Margarita. "We'll tell them what's expected of them as Harvard football players."

The former Chicago Bear halfback has no advance idea of how many men will show up at the meeting. Any freshman who might be interested in football is invited.

"The more the merrier," says Margarita.

Serious practice won't commence until Monday, at which time Margarita will start to ready the squad for its first game, against Andover on October 6 less than two weeks later.
