Begin Drive for Softball Teams in Summer School

Softball organization gets under way today as lists go up in every dormitory inviting all interested parties to register for the formation of leagues. Teams will be organized on a dormitory basis, if possible, with five or six teams competing for the championship.

Designated as league "commissioner" is Arthur "Happy" Amsie, who discharged the organizational functions last year. He is available for information in Holworthy Four, along with Les Medlinsky, who assists him from Holworthy Two.

All games will be played on Soldiers Field in the afternoon, and it is hoped that competition can begin some time this week. Last year five teams played a full league schedule with a final "world series" playoff between Holworthy and Thayer Halls.

A dinner may be given at the end of the season for the victorious team. It is to be doubted whether Director William Y. Elliott will be on hand to throw out the first ball this year.
