David John Hanson '52 of Winthrop House and Madison, Wisconsin died early this morning in Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. He had been ill of tubercular meningitis for the past six weeks.

Forty students yesterday volunteered to give blood in an attempt to save his life. Some of this blood was used, hospital authorities reported.

The 23-year-old brother of Assistant Dean Harlan P. Hanson '48 was member of the freshman and jayvee football squads, and stroked the combination crew against Yale in his first year.
