Varsity, '54 Play Golf Away Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The varsity and freshman golf teams play at Holy Cross and Exeter this afternoon, hoping to get back into the win column after their decisive defeats by Yale Saturday. The Yardlings will be up against tough opposition, however; Exeter defeated Andover, which has already trounced the freshmen.

Dave German, the regular fourth man on the varsity, will by absent because of exams, so that the whole team beneath him will move up on position. John Caswell will play his first varsity match in the seventh spot.

Dusty Burke will lead off for the varsity. After him will come Dave Hedberg, Captain Doug Wilde, Paul Weissman, Mitch Rosenholtz, and Bill Timpson.

The six-man freshman lineup includes the same players, though in different order from previous matches. Haddon Tomes will play first, followed by Bob Goldman, Jim Donovan, Jay Hill, Dave Shapiro, and Tom Monfried.
