Outdoor movies will take place in the Yard for the first time during Class Week when the University exhibits the new March of Time about Harvard in Tercentenary Theatre.
The Class Day Committee yesterday cleared the way for the public showing of the new film during the intermission of the Band and Glee Club Concert, Wednesday evening, June 20. A full-sized screen, will unfold from the awning covering the steps to Memorial Church.
Actually, the movie as shown in June will not be the final version. Although the film now includes all the shots of the College taken by March of Time cameramen this year, the finished product awaits addition of an ending based on the 1951 Commencement.
The film will also be shown several times at the University Theatre, and will be available to alumni groups.
