For the first time in 50 years, the biggest sports weekend will be graced with a CRIMSON-Lampoon crew race in addition to the annual baseball classic. The crew race will start at 11:30 a.m. at Weld Boathouse, the baseball game at 4:37 p.m. in or about Cambridge.

Odds on the crucial diamond encounter soared last night to an unheralded 23 to 2, as the 'Poonsters learned they would not be permitted to use graduates.

"We haven't had any new blood on the mag for years," mourned manager D. B. "Bugless Dunce '51. "What can we possibly do on our own?"

The superbly trained journalists' shell is expected to beat a hastily assembled float of the alleged funnymen by about two lengths over the 23-mile Charles River course.
