Dunster managed to beat the weather and all competitors to take two of the four House rowing events on the Charles yesterday, the senior singles and the comps.
John Hart won the former in 3:08, while Morgan Hatch clocked 3:28 for a comp victory. Eliot's Dave Morris swept the wherry field in 3:55, while Frank Manheim did 3:55, while Frank Manheim did 3:09 to capture the singles race for Kirkland.
Louis Lefevre and Dock Wilde, of Weld North and Thayer respectively, finished in a dead heat at 3:49 in the freshman singles. A Thayer man, Arnold Glendinning, also took the Yardling Wherries in four minutes. Stoughton's John Wright won the '54 comps with a 3:58 time.
Meanwhile, Eliot downed Adams, 7 to 4, to gain undisputed first place in the House baseball league. Fred Rhinelander pitched the Elephants to victory, Joel Kozol hurling for the losers.
