In a quiet House sports day, Dudley's tennis team downed the Winthrop squad, 5 to 2, yesterday afternoon.
Leon Siegel (D) defeated Charles Rankin, Leo Wolkow (D) defeated Court Worthington, Sid Shapiro (D) defeated Sam Ordway, Tom Sobol (D) defeated Bill Williamson, and Mike Licciardello (D) won by default. Nick Krauth (W) defeated Fred Paulson, and John Trumbell (W) won by default.
Today, the freshman intramural track meet will be hold on Soldiers Field. The Yardlings will participate in the 100 yard dash, the 220 and 880 yard runs, the mile and the mile relay, the shot put, and the high and broad jumps.
The meet is worth 50 points to the winning team. Both Stoughton and Holworthy will be trying hard for the win.
