Riders on Metropolitan Transit Authority lines next fall will be dropping tokens into turnstiles, instead of using coin boxes.

These innovations should save the company about $200,000 annually, M.T.A trustees recently stated in their annual report to Governor Dover and the Legislature. The present coin boxes went into operation in January, 1950 when the fares were upped from ten to 15 cents.
