New Stop Sign Guards Pedestrians

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Workmen compromised yesterday by putting a stop sign about 20 feet from the corner of Memorial Drive and DeWelfe Street.

Two hundred Dunster and Leverett House men sent a petition to Governor Dever Monday asking that a traffic signal be placed at the corner. A fatal accident Friday night, the second serious accident in two months, instigated the action.

The Metropolitan District Commission is still considering a traffic light for the intersection.
