Those people whose bookcases are just seven thirty-seconds of an inch too long for the complete Encyclopedia Britannica can now fill up the space with a closely-printed, unbound little book-put out by the Un-American Activities Committee. This book lists in 156 unattractive pages all the organizations ever cited as Communist or Communist front by any or all of nine "official Government agencies--on Federal, State, and municipal levels."

The subversive organizations--from the Abolish Peonage Committee to Zajednicar (Brotherhood, Croatian)--are almost all cited by the California (Tenney) Committee on Un-American Activities. There are such diverse groups as the Consumers Union, the People's Committee to Investigate Un-American Activities, the Sweethearts of Servicemen, the Nature Friends of America, and the National Lawyers' Guild.

But the pamphlet, alert to local needs, has also included the "Holyoke Book Shop, 'strategically' located at 19 Dunster Street, Cambridge, Mass., 'to supply students with Marxist publications'. It is also a central controlling point for Communist activity in and around Cambridge, and is a recruiting center for the Young Communist League, both in the college and in the secondary public schools of Cambridge." This all comes from from an old 1938 report of the Massachusetts House Committee on Un-American Activities, and the address in question has been a furniture store for severay lears, but you can't be too careful in these dangerous times. This new pamphlet is essential for every American who is determined to smack down the ugly head of Communism wherever he thinks it ought to exist.
