To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

On the afternoon of March 23, 1951, I picked up a "hitchhiker," a Harvard undergraduate, who was enroute to his home on long Island, New York. When he reached his destination and departed from the vehicle, I found a pair of leather fur lined gloves which he inadvertently left behind. I am writing this communication with the hoped of locating the owner of said gloves. Having experienced a New England winter I feel that he can use them to advantage later this year.

My hitch-hiker friend proved to be very friendly and an interesting conversationalist--his proficiency as a chauffeur was also utilized enroute. Although his name has completely escaped me, I nevertheless am able to recall the following personal data:

Weight--approximately 220 pounds.

Status--sophomore--undergraduate school--member of football team, guard or tackle--interested in coaching and physical education work.

Residence--Long Island.

Best Subject--Mathematics.

I hope from the description above that you will be able to locate the owner of the gloves which I am holding. If he will contact me I will forward them immediately. Joseph H. Friedmann, Lt. Colonel, USAF   Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron   1600th Air Transport Wing   Westover Air Force Base, Massachusetts
