Applications for Radcliffe's next freshman class have increased, even though the national total of college applications has fallen, Mrs. Kathleen O. Elliott, Director of Admissions, said yesterday. Of the undisclosed number of applications received, approximately 266 will be selected, she added.
Radcliffe's publicity program and Joint Instruction has attracted more candidates than over before without lowering the calibre of applicants, Mrs. Elliott said.
The Committee on Admissions meets this week and next to select Radcliffe's Class of 1955. Future 'Cliffedwellers will be notified of their acceptances on May 2.
