"Modern Art" was the subject of controversy at Fogg Museum's Open Forum held yesterday afternoon and evening. Artists Robert Motherell and Ben Shahn discussed contemporary painting at the afternoon session.

Oliver Larkin '18 and Meyer Shapiro, professors at Smith and Columbia respectively, continued the discussion last night. Larkin emphasized the fact that the "price of artistic integrity in America is high."
