Harvard will today become the second Ivy League football team to enjoy the services of an "extra" head coach when Henry R. "Bob" Margarita, erstwhile gridiron boss at Georgetown, returns to Cambridge. Yale's Herman Hickman set the pattern a month ago when he appointed Forrest "Peahead" Walker, of Wake Forest, to the Eli staff.
Meanwhile, Crimson coach Lloyd Jordan continued his spring practice with an intensive workout yesterday. The squad drills outdoors now, on the J.V. field behind the freshman diamond.
Trying to pound the club into the condition it apparently lost over the winter, Jordan has been sending the men through a variety of exercises. Besides standard calisthenics, the team spends time working on blocking dummies and such specialized devices as the Crowther apparatus
The gentleman directing the activity is end coach Joe Maras. Mark Schoenfeld watches while star freshman ends Ted Kennedy and Harvey Popell (hidden by apparatus) give the hefty Maras a ride.
