Conants Leave for England Today, Plan Flight to Paris

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

President and Mrs. Conant are leaving by plane today for a three-week tour of England. They plan to visit London, Oxford, and Cambridge. Conant will speak to the Harvard Club of London at a luncheon on April 17. He also plans to fly to Paris to address the Harvard Club there on May 1.

The President had to cancel a proposed informal trip to England last June because of ill health.

"Why," a magazine of popular psychology, has an article in its March issue on "Ideal Mates," which matches couples with opposing characteristics. President Conant is paired as being ideally suited to Elsa Maxwell. The magazine says that "the couples selected . . . are to the best of our knowledge, complete and utter strangers to each other."
