'Cliffe Will Learn Election Winners Now, Count Later

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Radcliffe Student Government election winners' names, but not actual figures from the balloting which ended yesterday, will be announced at today's mass meeting at 1:10 p.m. in Agassiz.

Beginning next year, individual counts from Council elections will be included with the winners' names in press releases, the Council decided yesterday. Figures will be available this year as soon as they have been recorded in the Student Government's transcript book, a permanent record of 'Cliffe election data.

The transcript book was started last year but most girls, including Council members, had never heard of it. Since almost no one running for office realized that exact results would be made public, the Council decided that immediate release of figures from this election would be unfair to candidates.

The system of announcing results at a mass meeting will be evaluated before next year's voting.
