Douglas C. Walker, veteran Wake Forest head football coach, will join the Yale grid staff as a varsity assistant to Herman Hickman, a Yale official announced last night.
Walker, known to most of the football world as "Peahead," has coached the Wake Forest Deacons for the past 14 years, and was the first Deacon coach to win more games than he lost.
