The mysterious Claverly fires, termed the work of an arsonist two weeks ago, are still the subject of police investigation, Detective Captain Patrick F. Ready revealed last night.
"We can't say much just yet," Ready said, "but we've been questioning witnesses for several days and should have a break soon. We're-fishing around," he said.
Meanwhile Alvin R. Randall, Chief of the University Police, announced that he would continue to station a man outside Claverly Hall for 16 hours every day. "We're trying to avoid fires of undisclosed origins," he explained.
