Three sophomores starred with perfect records as the fencing team crushed Boston University, 24 to 3, in its first match of the season at the Indoor Athletic Building yesterday.

Jan Jertson, Chris Martin and junior Eric Soilee took the foils event without allowing the Terriers a single point. Each won 3 to 0.

In the epee match, captain Win Over-holser led his teammates to a 7 to 2 win over the Bostoniaus. Ben Morton, Marty Smith, and George McNair rounded out the Harvard team. An electric epee, which eliminates any margin of error by recording points electrically, was used for the first time yesterday.

Sophomore Harry Zell led off the sabre match by defeating Consoli of B.U., 3 to 0. The team easily took the other two contests with Forrest Carter and Bob McConaughty winning 3 to 0, and 2 to 1. The team did not lose an individual contest all afternoon.
