Eight Takes Year's First Run on River

The crew plans to take its first workout on the Charles today. This will miss by one day the earliest a Tom Bolles eight has been out of doors.

The 1949 crew moved out on the Charles February 26. Yale, however, broke all records this year by beginning their practice on Washington's Birthday. The temperature was a muggy 40.

The 1941 Crimson boat holds the record for being stymied by bad weather. It didn't hit the water until March 25, yet the crew went undefeated throughout the season.
