Bob Bramhall will start as forward in place of Jim Gabler when the varsity basketball team meets Cornell tonight at Ithaca. An attack of flu, which will keep Gabler from making the trip, necessitated the first starting lineup change in the last ten games.
Norm Shepard may start sophomore Dick Lionette instead of John Stevenson at the other forward. Lionette, who scored seven field-goals and two fouls in the team's last game, would play the pivot position while Captain Ed Smith would follow the ball on the outside.
Lost First Game
Cornell, holding down second place in the Eastern League with a seven and two league record, beat the Crimson, 73 to 44 earlier this month. In its easy win the Big Red scored often by breaking through the Crimson defense to put in layups. To combat this, Shepard may use a zone defense from time to time this evening.
The probable lineup:
Harvard--Murphy, g; Hickey, g; Bramhall, f; Lionette, f; Smith (C), c.
Cornell--Chadwick, g; MacNeil, g; Ashbaugh, f; Gerwin, f; Eydt, f.
