Radcliffe girls can learn to make splints and tie bandages in a first aid course which will start in two weeks at the Annex under Miss Harriet Clark, chief gym instructor.
The nine-week course, given this year for the first time, will prepare girls for civilian defense work in atomic attacks or other national emergencies.
The course includes 18 hours of instruction, lectures and demonstration and a two hour examination.
It will meet one evening each week until the middle of May. First aid certificates, good for three years, will go to girls who complete the course.
