Yard Skaters Beat B.U., 7-4

The Yardling hockey team started slowly, but came from behind to defeat the Boston University freshmen, 7 to 4, in the Lynn Sports Arena last night.

Job Bray pulled the hat trick, and Crimson goalie Johnny Marshall was outstanding in the nets with 24 saves.

The Terriers took an early lead and tallied twice on close shots in five minutes. Dick Clasby registered the first Crimson goal at 7:16 during a scramble in front of the cage. Twenty seconds later Bob Burns batted in his own rebound to put B.U. ahead, 3 to 1.

Bray's score in the opening minutes of the next period revived the lax Crimson defense. Bray tied up the game when he drove in a rebound from Jim Colt with two minutes to play.

B.U. center Bob Beauregard broke the tie at 2:36 of the third period, but Colt tied the score again a minute later. Three quick goals by Captain Norm Wood, Bray, and Colt put the game on ice.
