A Good Move by the R.O.T.C.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The officers of the Army R.O.T.C. unit did a fine thing last Monday when they opened the second half of Military Science 1 to an additional 50 freshmen. In this action, they recognized the greatly increased undergraduate interest which has been taken in the R.O.T.C. programs during the last term. The enthusiastic freshman turnout far exceeded available openings.

The new joint R.O.T.C.-Administration committee is meeting for the first time this morning to investigate the possibility of allowing sophomores to enter the Army unit.

Colonel Summerall and his associates have taken one step in the right direction; the new joint committee will take the second by permitting sophomores to enter the Army R.O.T.C. program as far as present facilities permit.
