Eliot's fast-breaking 'A' league basketball team stretched its undefeated skein to seven games last night by trouncing Adams, 43 to 18. The Gold Coasters did not have much of a chance against the tight man-to-man defense; they dropped behind early in the first half by 14 points. Buz Vanderlage led the winners with 10 points.
In other intra-House 'A' games, Lowell edged Kirkland 45 to 43, on Ted Briggs' one hand shot in the last minute. Winthrop also squeezed by Dunster, 49 to 47, as Stan Greene made five straight foul shots and a total of 16 points. Dudley beat Leverett, 43 to 21, in an afternoon contest. Strangely, in all three games, the leader at the end of the first half lost the ball game.
Rad Stone of Winthrop made 15 points to pace his team to a 'B' league triumph over Dunster, 43 to 28. In another game, Leverett made up for its 'A' loss by beating Dudley, 30 to 19.
In House squash, Adams beat Lowell, 3 to 2, in both 'A' and 'B' matches. Leverett whipped Kirkland twice--5 to 0 in the 'A' contest and 3 to 2 in the 'B' match.
