Backfield coach Josh Williams suffered a heart attack last month, and will probably not be able to assist in spring practice which begins about the middle of March.

Lloyd Paul Jordan, head coach, last night said that he had talked to Williams in the latter's home near Pittsburgh after the recent coaches conference in Texas. Williams, who had not been able to go to the meeting because of his illness, thought it was "doubtful" that he would be able to coach this spring.

"Josh is looking forward to coming back," Jordan said, "and we want him back if his health permits." Williams has only been at Cambridge for one year, coming last March at Jordan's request.

Williams coached at the University of Pittsburgh for two years previously, after playing there as an undergraduate.
