'54 Told to Save; Jubilee Weekend Planned for May

Freshmen will compete for Jubilee Committee posts from February 26 to March 3, the Union Committee announced last night. A band-dance on March 3 will end the campaigns. Freshmen will vote on the candidates on March 5 and 6.

Like last year's affair, the Yardling weekend will center on two dances, an informal on May 11, and a formal the next evening. There will also be various sports events and cocktail parties in the Houses.

Jack J. Neusner '54, Union Committee Secretary, advised his classmates to "save those shekels for the big weekend celebration."

Larry Green entertained last year's informal dance, after a "sunset supper" in the Union. The traditional candlelight affair was not held because of fire laws.

The Saturday night formal featured two bands, Harry Marshard and the Dunster Funsters. About 300 couples attended the dance.

The committee will make exact arrangements for the Jubilee, but the program will probably follow the '53 celebration.
