Ski Reports

Yesterday's snow storm brought about eight additional inches of snow to the northern New England ski areas. Some of the southern slopes may be iced by sleet today, but the high country appears to have the best cover so far this season.

Last night's Weather Bureau report gave no depths in each locale, but areas reporting fair or good skiing have a ten inch base with six inches of new powder.

LOWER NEW HAMPSHIRE

Laconia: Skiing poor upper trails and poor to fair lower trails.

Mt. Sunapee: Poor upper and fair lower.

Temple Mt.: Poor upper, poor to fair lower.

UPPER NEW HAMPSHIRE

Jackson: Good upper and lower on both Black and Thorn Mts.

North Conway: Good upper and lower.

Waterville Valley: Good upper and lower.

Franconia: Good upper, fair lower.

Warren: Fair to good lower and upper.

VERMONT

Stowe: Good upper and lower.

Rutland: Poor upper and good lower.

Manchester: Fair upper and good lower.

Mad River: Good upper and lower.

Dutch Hill: Fair upper and lower.

MASSACHUSETTS

Charlemont: Fair upper and lower.

Otla: Fair upper and lower.

Amesbury: Fair upper and lower.
