Johnny Lee and Chick Chandler will compete in the tryouts for the Pan-American wrestling team this weekend at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Lee is the outstanding varsity lightweight; Chandler, who wrestles at 165, is freshman captain.
Wrestlers from all parts of the country are expected to vie for positions on the eight-man team which will represent the United States in Buenos Aires at the Pan-American Games from February 26 through March 6.
Since Olympic weights will be used in the tournament, Lee is entered at 125 and Chandler at 160. Lee has recovered from a knee injury which kept him out of the Army meet and the Boston "Y" tourney last Saturday.
Competition at Lehigh opens tomorrow afternoon; the finals will be held Saturday night.
