Puritans, Dudley Tie in Hockey, 1-1

Winthrop tied Dudley 1 to 1 in an intramural hockey game last night. Bob Whoriskey scored the goal for Dudley and Fred Drill scored for Winthrop.

In inter-House basketball, a taller Dudley team beat Leverett 33 to 28. Winthrop, despite Plato Pappas' 16 points, was beaten by Lowell, 40 to 23. Paul Altrocchi was high man for Lowell with 13 points. Dunster won over Adams, 37 to 34, although a drive by Adams near the end of the game almost closed the gap.

In the freshman intramural National Basketball League, scores were: Hollis 27, Thayer South 7; Grays 22, Straus South 20 (overtime); Wigglesworth West 34, Dudley 22; Matthews South 24, Massachusetts 18; Weld North 24, Lionel 15.

In the American League: Straus North 17, Matthews North 16; Stoughton 49, Thayer North 38; Wigglesworth East 30, Thayer Middle 10; Holworthy 31, Weld South 10.
