To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

The author of the editorial of Tuesday, December 18, on ice-skating facilities has overlooked one location which is available for skating. That is the rink next to Harkness in the Graduate Center. It is open at no charge to all Harvard students, or to anyone else, for that matter. Alan Black '52

Despite the loving care of architects, engineers, and others involved in the attempt to make the area around the world tree into a skating rink, the bowl-shaped contour of the ground makes the ice too rough for skating. The rink is also too small.

Moreover, no one can skate there at night--the only time when the ice is dependable--because there are no lights.
