House dinners caused the cancellation of the Kirkland-Dunster hockey match and the Winthrop-Navy R.O.T.O. "A" league basketball game yesterday.
In the only other scheduled hockey match, Eliot beat Lowell 3 to 2 to win their third straight. Pete Lawson, with two goals, and Jerry King, with one, were the Elephant scorers. Bruce White and Bitsy Grant scored for Lowell.
Leverett best Dunster 41 to 21 in the only "A" league basketball game played. Lou Chizer scored 12 points and Dick Myles ten for the Bunnies.
Leverett also garnered a win in "B" squash, beating Winthrop 3 to 2.
In the freshman intramural basketball National League, mighty Wigglesworth West went on to win their eighth straight victory by steam rolling Thayer South 50 to 20 Weld North went into unchallenged second place by virtue of its Monday win over Strauss South and its for felt win over Dudley last night. Two games ago, Weld North and Dudley were tied for second with records of five wins and one loss. In other games, Lionel best Strauss South 29 to 19, Hollis beat Massachusetts 40 to 17, and Matthews South beat Orkyh, 24 to 22.
In the American League, Wigglesworth East edged Matthews North 21 to 20, and Struas North whipped Weld South 81 to 25.
