M.I.T.'s squash team is not expected to offer much competition when the national champion Crimson seeks its second straight victory in its first home 1951-52 match at 2 p.m. this afternoon at Hemenway Gym. The freshmen will also take on the Engineers at Hemenway at 1:30.
Charlie Ufford will be playing his opening match of the year today at number one for the Crimson. In last week's 10 to 1 win over Dartmouth. Ufford was competing in the North-South soccer game at Philadelphia. "Muggsy" Mugaseth will take the number two slot for Harvard, with Captain Jim Bacon at three and Dave Symmes at four.
Alty Flagg played his number five match today, defeating his Tech opponent, 15-9, 18-15, 15-7, so the Crimson has a one-point lead already. Dave Watts at number six, Wis Wood at seven, Charlie Elliott at eight, and Mike Ward at nine round out the varsity team.
The freshman match should be much closer than the varsity; only five-man teams will compete in the Yardling contest.
