George R. Agassiz Station will be the new official title of the University's astronomy observatory located on Oak Ridge in Harvard, Massachusetts.

Agassiz '84, who died early this year, received the honor for his part in the planning and construction of the observatory and his life-long interest in the astronomical department. He served on the University Board of Overseers from 1924 to 1937, assuming the presidency the last eight years of that period.
