February Draft Set For 55,000; Reserves Get New Recall Policy

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Defense Department yesterday set the February draft call at 55,000, a drop of 4,650 from the January quota.

The February call will bring the total drafted under the law of July 10, 1950 up to 849,330 men.

Meanwhile, the armed services plan to send home in the next few months most of the reservists called to active duty without their consent. No more of these men will be called up without consent in their future.
