In addition to the abolition of spring practice, the possibility of another week of fall practice will be discussed at the coming meeting of athletic directors of the seven Ivy Group colleges, the CRIMSON learned yesterday.
The athletic directors compose the Administrative Committee of the Ivy Group. The exact date of their conference has not as yet been set, but it will be within the next two weeks and will be held in New York City.
It is understood that both Yale and Harvard have strong and probably conflicting views on the possibility of moving the opening date of fall practice back a week. At present, an Ivy Group agreement forbids member teams to start football practice before September.
Another topic which will be discussed at the meeting, the CRIMSON learned, is the length of schedules of member schools. Yale has already announced that it is interested in cutting its schedule down to eight games and possibly playing one team twice in a single season.
Medical clinics, the two-platoon system, and possibly a new plan for television control will also be considered at the meeting.
